Fine Art Framing

At Studio Art Services, I offer custom archival-quality framing for works on paper, photographs, and prints, as well as canvas paintings. All work is done by hand in my studio, with careful attention to detail, material integrity, and long-term preservation.

I can build custom stretcher bars and lattices for artists working on canvas – ideal for those needing precise, warp-resistant support for new or re-stretched paintings.

I work with acid-free materials, museum-quality boards, UV-protective glazing, and wood or aluminum frames to suit the aesthetic and physical needs of your artwork. Whether you’re preparing for exhibition or protecting a recent acquisition, every piece is treated with the same level of care I give my own work.

Services Include:

  • Custom framing and mat cutting

  • Float mounts and shadow boxes

  • Stretcher bar/lattice construction

  • Restoration consultation and options

FAQs

Q: Can I bring in my own frame or materials?
A: Yes, I’m happy to work with customer-supplied frames or materials when possible. I’ll still evaluate them to make sure they’re suitable for archival presentation and safe for long-term use.

Q: How long does custom framing usually take?
A: Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the project and materials availability, but most framing projects are completed within 1–2 weeks. Rush jobs may be possible depending on the schedule.

Q: Do you offer conservation or restoration services?
A: While I don’t provide restoration services, I do use archival methods to help preserve your artwork. I can also recommend a conservator if restoration is needed before framing.
